Spazzapnea is a volunteering organization that primarily engages in activities of general interest aimed at achieving civic, solidarity, and social utility goals, without profit, for the protection and enhancement of marine, coastal, lake, and river nature and environment, as well as the conservation of the marine ecosystem. Its purpose is to reduce pollution in seas, seabeds, and coastal environments both nationally and internationally.

Supporting Spazzapnea means:

• Collaborating towards a better and more sustainable future for everyone by achieving the “Sustainable Development Goals” set by the 2030 Agenda.

• Raising awareness on the topic by organizing workshops in schools and meetings with the experts.

• Learning about a new way to enoy the sea through freediving and fun activities.

• Giving value to your own territory by taking care of it.

We actively promote the initiative “Spazzapnea – Operazione fondali puliti”, a competition where participants transform themselves into “sea sweepers” and compete by freediving and walking along the coasts to collect as much waste as possible within a set time.

At the end of the waste collection competition, the "catch" is analyzed and weighed.

Not only the quantity but especially the degree of dangerousness to the environment determines the score.
